2. Scope of Service and Formation of Contract
We provide high-quality laundry baskets and home organisational goods. We maintain direct ownership of all inventory, which is managed and dispatched from our internal warehouse facilities. A legally binding contract is formed between us when we send you an email confirming the dispatch of your order. We reserve the right to decline any order for legitimate reasons, such as stock unavailability or pricing errors.
3. International Shipping and Delivery
We focus on serving the US and European markets.
Processing Time: Orders are typically prepared and dispatched within 1 to 2 business days.
Estimated Transit Time: We offer expedited shipping via premium carriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS). Transit time is typically 3 to 6 business days.
Customs & Duties (DDU): Orders shipped from Canada to Europe or the USA are sent Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU). Any local import VAT, customs duties, or administrative fees levied by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the recipient.Refusal to pay local customs duties will result in the package being abandoned or returned at the customer’s expense, and such uncollected orders are strictly non-refundable.
Non-Delivery Investigations: If an order is not delivered within 15 business days of dispatch, we will initiate a formal investigation with the carrier. Following this, we will provide a full refund or a replacement at no additional cost.
4. Risk and Title
In accordance with international consumer protection standards, the risk of loss or damage remains with Linenretreat until the items are physically received by you or a designated third party. Ownership transfers to the customer upon successful delivery.
5. 14-Day Return Policy (USA & Europe)
To ensure consistency and customer satisfaction across all our primary markets, we offer a 14-day return period for both US and European customers.
Right of Withdrawal: You have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods without providing a reason.
Procedure: You must contact us at laundrybasket@linenretreat.com to receive a Return Authorisation (RA) number and specific return instructions.
Return Costs: Unless the goods are confirmed as defective or damaged upon arrival, customers are solely responsible for all international return shipping costs to our facility in Canada. Due to the volumetric size of laundry baskets, please be aware that international return freight can be substantial.
Refund Processing: We will process your reimbursement within 5-7 business days of receiving the returned goods or evidence of their return.
6. Defective or Damaged Goods
If you receive an item that is damaged or suffers from a manufacturing defect:
Please contact our team with photographic evidence within 48 hours of receipt.
Once verified, we will process a full refund or send a replacement immediately.
In such instances, you are typically not required to return the damaged item, though we reserve the right to request a return for quality control purposes at our discretion.
