2. Scope of Service and Formation of Contract
We provide high-quality laundry baskets and home organisational goods. A legally binding contract is formed between us when we send you an email confirming the dispatch of your order. We reserve the right to decline any order for legitimate reasons, such as stock unavailability or errors in pricing.
3. Shipping and Delivery
We specialise in serving the European market from our Canadian base through logistics partnerships with premium carriers, including DHL, FedEx, and UPS Priority.
Processing Time: Orders are typically prepared and dispatched within 2 to 3 business days.
Estimated Transit Time: Standard transit to European destinations generally takes between 7 to 14 business days. Please note that transit times do not include potential delays caused by customs clearance procedures in the destination country, which are beyond our control.
Tracking Updates: Automated notifications will be sent at key milestones: dispatch, sorting, and local delivery.
Non-Delivery Investigations: If an order has not been delivered within 30 business days of dispatch, we will initiate a formal investigation with the carrier. Following the investigation, we will provide a full refund or a replacement at no additional cost.
4. Risk and Title (Consumer Protection)
In accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the risk of loss or damage to the goods remains with Boreal Home & Decor Inc. until the items are physically received by you or a third party indicated by you. Ownership of the goods transfers to the Customer upon successful delivery.
5. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Return Policy)
Consumers residing in the European Union or the European Economic Area have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
Withdrawal Period: Expires 14 days from the day you acquire physical possession of the goods.
Exercise of Right: You must inform us via email at laundrybasket@linenretreat.com to receive return instructions and a Return Authorisation (RA) number.
Return Shipping: Unless the goods are confirmed as defective or damaged upon arrival, the direct cost of returning the goods shall be borne by the Customer.
Refunds: We will reimburse all payments received, including standard delivery costs (excluding additional costs from premium shipping choices), within 14 days of being informed of your decision. We may withhold reimbursement until the goods are received back or evidence of return is provided.
6. Defective or Damaged Goods
If you receive an item that is damaged or suffers from a manufacturing defect:
Contact our customer service team via email with supporting photographic evidence.
Once verified, we will process a full refund or send a replacement immediately. In such instances, you are not required to return the damaged item.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Canada and the European Union, our liability for any loss suffered in connection with a purchase shall be strictly limited to the purchase price of the product.

Most concerns can be resolved quickly and fairly without the need for a formal payment dispute (chargeback).
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada. However, as a consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident. Any disputes shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Canada or your country of residence.
